How do I get help accessing the email system?
Only limited telephone-based technical support is available for Church E-mail. Before calling for technical assistance, please follow these steps:
Calls should be restricted to issues related to system access (i.e. password issues, etc.). Do NOT call the help desk with issues related to your Internet connection. These calls should be directed to your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
I have a problem with my email, how do I get help using my new account?
The Church E-mail system is based on Google's Gmail program. A vast amount of online help is available from Google by clicking Help in the upper right corner of your inbox screen. Go to http://mail.google.com/support to search for help.

The Church E-mail includes email groups and are based on Google Groups. They are user-owned groups that you can create to use as a mailing list or create a discussion forum.
To find groups or setup a group, login to your Church E-mail account and click on the Groups link in the upper left corner.

The Church provides electronic messaging systems to conduct Church business and operations. The Church owns the contents of all Church messaging systems.
Sending or forwarding inappropriate content is prohibited.Sending or forwarding electronic messages that either contain or refer to material that is sexually oriented, offensive, fraudulent, harassing, intimidating, defamatory, threatening, abusive, or improperly discriminatory is prohibited. Such material is not only inappropriate, but may also be illegal, and sending such messages may result in disciplinary action against the user(s) involved.
Personal useIncidental and occasional personal use of Church messaging systems is permitted. Personal use of Church messaging systems for commercial or political purposes is prohibited, as is any use that is illegal or would bring unfavorable attention to the Church such as broadcasting personal views on social issues.
Access securityAuthorized users are responsible to maintain the security of electronic messages and accounts. Access must be secured by an appropriate password or PIN that meets minimum security standards.
Messages related to legal proceedingsMessages pertaining to actual or threatened legal proceedings or government investigations will be retained, as directed by the Office of General Counsel, until the proceeding or investigation is concluded.
